Foodies and history lovers HEAR ME OUT! I am SO thrilled I booked my tour with Soul Travelling. Professional and full of heart , just as I had hoped. The Island Culinary Experience at Chorao was truly one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I have ever had. If you want to see the real Goa with a tour guide who is passionate then look no further . Nothing about it felt commercial or staged – it felt real, soulful and thoughtfully curated, exactly as advertised. Atul was an absolutely superb guide. From the moment we met him, he made me feel completely comfortable, welcomed and at ease. He even bought me a hair clip for my photos which I requested - who else would do such a kind extra gesture?! Atul’s warmth, enthusiasm and deep knowledge about Goan food, local culture and traditions shone through every part of the experience. Atul was incredibly informative and generous with his time, always taking the time to explain the history of the island’s culinary heritage and the significance of the dishes we learned about. It never felt scripted – just natural, flowing and full of heart. I loved how unhurried the experience was, letting us truly immerse ourselves in every moment as if we were with family. The unforgettable day began with a ferry ride to the beautiful island of Chorao, followed by a warm welcome by plantation staff and introduction to the island’s unique culinary history. We visited a stunning Goan plantation home where we had hands-on fun preparing traditional Goan delicacies alongside local islanders and then sat down together for an authentic Goan lunch cooked by the kind hands of one of the ladies who worked there. The food was gorgeous and full of soul – flavorful, rich in tradition and shared with genuine hospitality - all with a priceless view . This experience is perfect for anyone who wants something real, meaningful and immersive. Soul Travelling don’t just host experiences – they share a piece of Goa with you, and that is what makes it so special. I would recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone seeking authenticity, beauty and connection through local culture and cuisine.

I had a great experience with a private tour guide Socorro who explained the history of Goa and showed me all the important sights. I particularly enjoyed the spice plantation. The lunch was great and I loved smelling all the different spice plants!

Driver picked up where he said he would pick up no problem. Got to the boat, and was quite pumping music playing. The MC was interactive and was good. Although we were not served starters on the lower deck (others were), we got it upstairs. Probably don’t order a red wine unless you are happy with port. It was busy but if you are chilled it won’t bother you. Food was nice and the music was great. Overall a good experience.

We did the Chandor Trail walk with Alita - right from the get-go she was SUPER engaged in the history and the cultural nuances of not only where we were standing, but sharing broader context of how it had evolved across multiple dynasties over 2000+ years. It was really stunning to see the MASSIVE Portuguese mansions and their history - their present owners very kindly walking us through their homes. And Chandor is a little bit of Goa lost in time..there are pockets that seem like they haven't changed in 100's of years. Definitely worth it. Thanks Alita & Team MakeItHappen!

Amazing fun, starters were great entertainment was fun and engaging, buffet was good, very hight standard with gloves on and hair nets, shame the people still used their hands even know tongs are provided, even when it rained they move you down stairs where the shows continue. thanks again from the United Kingdom.

A fantastic insight into the fascinating history of Goa! The tour guide even spoke German (not a requirement for an English-language tour, but still worth mentioning) and was knowledgeable about all aspects of the region. Very warm and authentic.


