The trip was so, so fun. Exploring the city on motorbikes is honestly the BEST way to see it. The unique driving style of Vietnam is so much fun to see on a bike. Something that cannot be experienced any other way. The tour guide Ming was extremely friendly and spoke English incredibly well. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Vietnam.

Greta service. Staff member was already waiting for us when we arrived at the immigration hall. She took us to the “VIP” lane, which was empty: we cleared the passaport check in literally 5 minutes. To be honest, the regular qeue wasn’t that bad but we still saved at least 30-40 minutes.

I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour. The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor. The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.


