Reviews: Baku: Gobustan, Mud Volcanoes, Fire Mountain & Temple Tour

The tour allows you to see all the places that are difficult to reach on your own. The bus was comfortable, and the group size was good—17 people packed up quickly and moved from place to place without any hassle. The mud volcanoes aren't particularly impressive, but you can reach them off-road in a Niva, which is in danger of falling apart. The most interesting spots are Gobustan (an open-air museum) and the Fire Temple in Absheron. Be prepared to pay extra for the tickets and the Niva ride (we paid 65 manat per person for all the extras) plus lunch. Bring water and a small snack, as lunch isn't until 2:00 PM. The tour was offered in three languages: English, Spanish, and Turkish. They said there were Russian-speaking groups, but we didn't find that option. Overall, it was a great experience for a very reasonable price.

🌋 Mud Volcano Adventure A unique natural wonder with bubbling mud craters and scenic views. Fun off-road ride, slightly messy but exciting experience. Perfect for quick exploration and unforgettable photos.

However, after being picked up, we waited for over half an hour at the third pick-up point, and the customer never boarded, causing a significant delay. Our coordination and planning need improvement. It was a bilingual tour; the guide, a first-generation immigrant, spoke Russian more fluently and better. His English was average, but he managed to give a basic introduction. The mud volcano was smaller than expected, but since we were already there...

The experience through the app was good. My guide Riad was very very good, nice guy… trip was hassle free. Though I found the price for the trip was bit expensive. Was a small trip. Just a sight seeing…
