Let me start by saying that we had a comfortable and enjoyable trip there and back. But I think I'll add some important information below, as the description of this event was a bit confusing to me. As I understand it, this is a separate carrier that also departs from bus stations (yes, stations have bus departure zones with separate exits and schedules). When booking, as stated, even if you selected a time and date, they might not be available. Our date was already inconvenient. But they offered to change it to another day, which we did. They responded quickly, but perhaps because of the translator, it was sometimes difficult to understand what was meant. I wouldn't say they were as friendly as we're used to. But I think we figured it out. Tickets are emailed separately with the changed date and time after you've confirmed it with support.

Bookings need to be made one day in advance, and a voucher will be sent the following day. You can easily reserve your seat online using the link on the voucher, and you have two opportunities to cancel or change your ticket. You can change your ticket as early as 5 minutes before departure time to avoid missing your train. Entering the station is as simple as scanning a QR code; there's absolutely no need to queue. My trip to Osaka was from November 2nd to 6th, 2025. I bought the JR Kansai Mini Pass, which was quite convenient and cost-effective. I visited Kobe and Kyoto, both of which had new rapid transit lines. On the last day, I also took the Airport Express. Note that cars 5-8 on the Airport Express might be assigned to Wakayama, so be sure to take cars 1-4. I also took the Arashiyama Scenic Railway; make sure you buy the correct section ticket, as it offers round-trip tickets. I bought the wrong one.

The only one-day ticket that can make a profit was used. I took the subway 7 times and visited Osaka Castle (it was actually not very interesting, and it was nice to take a photo outside Osaka Castle without spending any money). I didn't have time to go to Umeda Sky Building. The Hep Five Ferris wheel in Umeda is quite cool, and Tsutenkaku is also worth a visit, but you can only choose one of the three attractions. I recommend the slide.
