The sky is not beautiful, this day trip almost spent the whole trip in the rainstorm. Also because the rainstorm train 🚄 was out of service and did not sit. Tian'an Heyuan also failed to go because the water level was too high. Fortunately, when I was playing Gaoqiansui Gorge, it rained in the first half of the time and walked a short mountain road. It only takes about 6 hours to get back and forth, and there are nearly an hour of rugged mountain roads back and forth. If there is a history of motion sickness, the treasures should take motion sickness medicine in advance, otherwise it is really not very good. I have been to Japan more than ten times. I chose a day trip for the first time. The price is relatively high, but the time with the group tour may be closer, and some people are watching the flowers. If you are afraid of trouble and don't want to bother, you can choose. If you want to have more fun, it will be better to choose other ways. 🫶

Trip is per itinerary described, have ample time to explore the attractions unless you chose to take the boat ride at takachiho gorge. We are glad we did not chose that option. It'll be quite rush to climb uphill downhill and row boat altogether. Daisy is the guide, she's fluent in both Eng and Chi, informative and very welcoming.

Very satisfied with a day trip, although the weather is hot, but Ada Wang is very dedicated to introduce and arrange for everyone, this price may not be enough for the transportation. I will participate in other day trips next time.

Overall, the day trip was okay. The guide was very kind and shared some Fukuoka cuisine. Speaking of attractions, if you have ample time and want to see Japan's beautiful landscapes, Takachiho is a must-see. After the urban hustle and bustle, getting some oxygen and healing in the mountains is quite enjoyable. The train driver's high-altitude bubble gun was also quite entertaining. If you're short on time, it's not really necessary. These three places were packed into one day, and most of that time was spent on the road, for a reason.

The cave shrine and gorge were certainly interesting but required a good level of fitness to manage the steep stairs. At 71 years of age and of average fitness it was a bit of a struggle. Not recommend for anyone not able to climb 3 to 4 flights of stairs. The tour guide Kevin was very good and kept us on a tight and achievable schedule. The train ride was charming but at 2,000 JPY for 30 minutes is very overpriced.
Product details

▲ Want to slow down your travels, take in the mountain views, listen to the sounds of flowing streams, and sample local delicacies? This itinerary takes you to Takachiho, a place surrounded by nature. It combines canyons, shrines, trains, and Miyazaki beef into a comfortable day trip.

▲ Takachiho Gorge is a popular natural attraction. The trail is gentle and easy to walk, with clear streams on one side and cascading cliffs on the other, creating a truly soothing visual experience. We recommend taking photos from the viewpoint in front of Manai Falls, capturing the waterfall and boating scenes, a fusion of nature and humanity.

▲ The Takachiho train ride is at your own expense. It's a fun and engaging journey close to nature. The train travels through valleys and forests at a leisurely pace, stopping at several scenic spots for photos. The red carriages themselves are photogenic, and with the mountain backdrop, they're perfect for capturing both portraits and landscapes.

▲ A tranquil trail surrounded by greenery, Tenyasu Riverside leads gently along the river to a shrine hidden in a cave. The numerous stacked prayer stone towers create a tranquil and mysterious atmosphere.

▲ No mountain climbing required, perfect for a leisurely stroll, taking photos, and quietly soaking in the aura of Takachiho. This trip isn't filled with rushing or rushing around; it's filled with nature, stories, delicious food, and moments of quiet enjoyment. Why not slow down, take in the scenery with your eyes, and remember the flavors of Takachiho with your taste buds?
