## Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Fort William Adventure Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Fort William Adventure Our Glenfinnan, Glencoe &amp; Fort William adventure departs from the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh. Leave the busy streets of Edinburgh behind, passing iconic sights such as Edinburgh Castle, and begin your journey north into the rugged Scottish Highlands. We stop for refreshments at Callander, the gateway to the Highlands, before continuing to Glencoe, a famous dramatic valley that has appeared in many films such as Skyfall and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Stop here for photos and learn about Glencoe's history, including the story of the 1692 MacDonald Clan Massacre.<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0352v12000fhof5qq3EC4_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="52221450" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="1080">From atmospheric Glencoe we drive along the shores of Loch Lomond to the Highland town of Fort William, situated at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s tallest mountain. Stop here to stretch your legs and enjoy brunch before continuing to the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for its use in Harry Potter, is surrounded by mountains and sits on the shores of beautiful Loch Rochiel. Not only is this place famous for the Jacobite steam train (not to be confused with the Hogwarts Express), Loch Rochiel was also the filming location for the Black Lake. See if you can spot the troublemaker Scrunch at the bottom of the lake! This was also the filming location for Buckbeak's beautiful flight, scenes from the Triwizard Tournament, and the magnificent lake that Hogwarts sits on.<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0351012000fhnkx20D28C_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="52221534" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="1080">We take photos at the viaduct and then visit the nearby Glenfinnan Monument, symbolizing one of the most important events in Scottish history - the Jacobite Rising of 1745.<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0350412000fhnkx1y7446_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="52221548" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="1080">After leaving Glenfinnan, we begin our journey back to Edinburgh, stopping for refreshments in the small village of Pitlochry. Here you can stretch your legs and have a light meal before heading back to Edinburgh, concluding our adventure of Glenfinnan, Glencoe, and Fort William.
