The rail pass itself is quite good, but the adoption of e-tickets has significantly reduced its user-friendliness for tourists. Not to mention, the Rail Planner app is really poorly designed. Furthermore, Ctrip's customer service has declined considerably. I asked a small question, and it dragged on without a satisfactory answer; in the end, I had to resolve it myself.

Alex was a lovely, friendly, knowledgeable host. A refreshing break from everyday life, in a beautiful nature setting. Blueberry and lingonberry picking was a delight. Eating the food cooked in the wooden hut round a fire was a wonderful experience. Catering for dietary requirements was no issue, in fact Alex went out of his way to provide a gluten free dessert. Overall a highly recommended tour.
