I used it to go from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. Since my destination was Nanshan District, I took the bus to the Shenzhen Port. It's a little more expensive than the subway, but the advantage is that you can always get a seat.

Be prepared to be shaken and even terrified, and it doesn't depend on the captain. This is the sea. We took such a transfer for the first time. We weren't prepared for the storm, but the team was excellent and well-coordinated. The captain is absolutely beyond praise.
