We recommend taking additional time to navigate to the Pier if you are not familiar with the area or need to adjust for traffic or parking. Manhattan by Sail ("MBS") reserve the right to release your reserved space(s) 5 minutes prior to departure, if you have not yet checkin in with a dockside agent or contacted the office. The Clipper City tall ship is located at the end of the pier around the corner. The ship may not have arrived at the pier, but the correct dock is labeled with the "Manhattan By Sail" sign located at the entrance to the dock. What to Bring Please bring a photo ID. It is customary to tip the crew & bartender if you enjoyed your experience. Will it rain? Occasionally. While sailing is an all-weather activity, MBS may need to cancel due to severe or unsafe conditions. In this case, MBS will do it's best to notify you as soon as possible to save you from the inconvenience. In the event that Manhattan by Sail cancels, customers will be offered alternate dates, subject to availability, or receive a sailing credit for the current or following season. What if my plans have changed? Reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please see below for our cancellation policy. If you have booked with a pass, please read below IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pass entitles you to a free or discounted sailing if you SHOW UP for the time you reserved WITH A VALID PASS. Manhattan By Sail, cannot collect from the pass company if you do not show up; DUE TO LIMITED CAPACITY, your booking takes the spot of someone else who would have paid (think of it like a theater or sporting event ticket). IF, FOR ANY REASON, you do not show up or don't have a VALID PASS with a successful SCAN prior to departure, your card will be charged OUR FULL LISTED PRICE of the sailing ticket –this is how the pass works, and WHY you are being charged.
