Reviews: Boat No. 5 (Random Arrangement) | Day Trip to Mantanani Island, Sabah, Malaysia | Snorkeling & Scuba Diving | Mangrove Forest

I checked Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) for Kota Kinabalu island hopping tours and heard that the company "Round Beach Love" was the most expensive, but I still chose them in the end. They really have a reason for the higher price; the staff were very enthusiastic, the one-hour boat ride was enjoyable, I didn't feel seasick at all, and we arrived in no time. The young men were very friendly and observed the guests' moods to create a lively atmosphere, making you completely forget about seasickness. Although we didn't get to ride the popular No. 5 boat, we rode No. 6, which was also a lot of fun. The lunch on the beach was very good, and you can get refills if you're still hungry. My kids went back for crab twice, and it was delicious both times. There were two snorkeling spots, and it cost 50 MYR per person for a photo shoot. There was no tipping required on the islands. The young men would bring bread to attract small fish for you to take photos, which was very nice 👍. The seawater was absolutely beautiful; the photos perfectly captured the joy of the moment. The bubble party was also a lot of fun, and the kids had a great time. I would definitely go again next time I'm in Kota Kinabalu 👍

Reviews: 1-day tour to Sabah royal bay sky mirror mangrove | proboscis monkeys and fireflies/private small group optional
Guest User2026-10-08
It's a pity we didn't get to see the animals up close this trip, but seeing the fireflies at night was incredibly romantic! Our guide, my cousin, gave us so many surprises! He was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, bringing a small speaker to play music the whole way, making the trip relaxed and enjoyable. At the beach, he even offered to take amazing photos for us; his photography skills are superb, and he knows exactly how to frame the shots. Overall, I highly recommend the experience!

Reviews: Island hopping in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - 1-day tour to Sapi Island Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia and Manukan Island with optional snorkeling, parasailing and water activities
Guest User2026-10-15
Most of the day trips were booked through Ctrip, and we had a great time. Parasailing was fun, not as scary as I imagined. We also rented a camera to shoot videos. The service was good, there was no forced spending, and everything was flexible. I was very satisfied.

Reviews: Sabah Kota Kinabalu island-hopping sightseeing cruise ticket Sapi Island Manukan Island Mamutik Island snorkeling parasailing sea walking
Guest User2026-10-06
I went to Mamutik Island, did banana boat rides and snorkeling. The water was very clear and there were many fish; I saw lots of sea urchins and various other kinds of fish. The weather wasn't great, so I didn't get to do parasailing. I contacted customer service (Xiao Mu), and they promptly refunded me. Xiao Mu responded quickly and provided thorough pre-trip reminders. It's worth a visit; it's especially beautiful on a sunny day.

Reviews: Sabah (Koperasi Seri Serbang Bongawan Sabah Berhad) sky mirror mangrove fireflies 1-day tour proboscis monkey | lazy version late departure optional

This is a thank-you letter! Let me first share my experience of the day trip. From the moment our driver, Xiao Qi, picked us up, the journey to the mangrove boat was smooth. The air conditioning was on the whole time in the car. On the boat, all the staff, including the captain, were incredibly attentive, making sure we didn't miss the proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, or lizards. Everyone searched meticulously. The captain tirelessly made every turn and turn, ensuring we didn't leave empty-handed. You might not find anything in the forest, right? The guides used their high-speed cameras to take pictures, showing you the skin texture and eyebrows of the baby crocodiles. At sunset, the guides tirelessly took photos of the fiery sunset, moving on to the next one without missing a single one. The firefly experience was even more heartwarming. They used a mother lantern to attract fireflies, caught one, and let you make a wish. Throughout the trip, they catered to everyone's hearing, sight, and emotional needs; their service was comprehensive. No need to compare—for sunset and firefly watching, this is the place to go! Additionally, as mentioned above, this is a thank-you letter. I want to thank Xiao Qi, the driver and tour guide. He is an excellent, kind, and responsible tour guide. I hope his company leaders can see this article. When I encountered language communication difficulties, he treated me like a friend from out of town, patiently helping me communicate by phone and taking on the task of translation. He continued to help me solve the problem the next day and proactively contacted me to check on my safety. I am a lucky person to have met such a team. I wish you all the best!
