I was incredibly lucky to join a small group tour led by guide Xiao Wu. The pace was relaxed yet covered all the important points, making sightseeing very efficient. If we were traveling independently, we definitely wouldn't know where to begin, but with Xiao Wu, we could see everything we wanted to see in the most relaxed way! We were having fun the whole time, with no spending requirements. Xiao Wu was also very patient, waiting for us, and his commentary was excellent throughout. At the panda base, he knew the whereabouts and stories of each panda like the back of his hand, and honestly told us how long the wait would be to see the flowers, allowing us to choose what we wanted to see. The explanation of Dujiangyan was even more captivating. Guide Xiao Wu was very familiar with Dujiangyan and provided us with an engaging explanation, giving us a deeper understanding of how magnificent this engineering feat is. This travel experience was truly excellent, and I will definitely travel with Xiao Wu again if I want to travel in the future!

Overall, we like the tour, our tour guide and our English guide did a very good job despite some communication issues with the morning pick-up, but the visiting places soon amazing us after an hour on the bus to get there. Both Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain is a must-see when visiting Chengdu, the scheduled itinerary was a stand out with no rush in between. Our tour guide “小王 - 王思嘉” was amazing and knowing the places inside-out and taking care of everything for us from entering the places, taking us to the connecting tour bus inside and cable car and gave us all the helpful advices in particular the mountain walking at Qingcheng, and she also walked with us most of the time except the last optional mountain top climbing part. The provided lunch was ordinary at best but it was expected and it’s not the highlight of the tour anyway. The day concluded with dropping us back to our hotel around 7. It was a long day and lots of walking but it’s worth visiting and it was beautiful

Panda Valley and Dujiangyan are two treasure troves where you can escape the crowds and enjoy the natural environment. Panda Valley offers close encounters with pandas and boasts a beautiful and refreshing natural setting; Dujiangyan is magnificent and spectacular, with a rich variety of delicious food in its ancient town. The entire trip was very comfortable. Our driver, Jiang Wensong, was friendly, enthusiastic, and patient, driving smoothly and safely. He recommended delicious restaurants and a time-saving and energy-efficient route. The guide in Dujiangyan provided humorous and engaging explanations that also helped us understand the water conservancy project.

Today's trip to Chengdu was absolutely perfect! In the morning, we observed the adorable pandas up close at the Panda Base, watching them leisurely munching on bamboo and playing – it was incredibly heartwarming! In the afternoon, we visited the Sanxingdui Museum, where the mysterious bronze masks and the sacred tree reaching to the heavens felt like stepping back a thousand years into the ancient Shu civilization – the awe was indescribable. The itinerary was well-paced, perfectly balancing cultural experiences with natural wonder. A special shout-out to our guide, Shanshan! Her explanations were lively and engaging, ranging from the pandas' habits to the historical mysteries of Sanxingdui, drawing on a wealth of knowledge while maintaining a touch of humor, bringing each attraction to life. Our driver, Mr. Teng, drove smoothly and kept perfect time, always punctual, ensuring a smooth and worry-free trip. Thank you to our guide, Director Yang, for accompanying and leading the tour. We took a boat tour of the Giant Buddha in the morning and a cable car to the Golden Summit in the afternoon. Mount Emei also requires a long shuttle bus ride, but there was no other way. I went to Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan yesterday, and today I persevered and climbed to the summit as well. I saw the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra. Sincerity brings results; the weather was quite nice, not cold even with a sweatshirt under my short sleeves. On the way down, we encountered monkeys. The tofu pudding for dinner was different from what I'm used to in Beijing, but the group lunch was alright. A perfect day trip, highly recommended!


