Dazu Rock Carvings, located in Dazu District, Chongqing, is one of the region's most important historical sites. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and is also ranked as a 5A-level tourist attraction in China. The ancient rock carvings, dating back over a thousand years, began around the 9th century during the early Tang Dynasty and continued until the 13th century during the Song Dynasty, spanning several hundred years. There are over 50,000 large and small stone sculptures/carves, along with over 100,000 Chinese characters inscribed, scattered across the cliffs of five major mountains: Beishan, Shizhuanshan, Shimenshan, Nanshan, and Baodingshan. Each site features unique styles, art, and themes, adding variety and charm to the viewing experience.
The purchased day trip covered two locations: Beishan and Baodingshan. A guided tour of the Dazu Rock Carvings Museum was provided, with commentary throughout the various floors of the museum. I made the right decision buying this tour. It was worth it. I recommend it.โ

The trip was fantastic. The driver, guide, and the lady giving the explanations were all very professional. My child listened attentively and was completely immersed in the awe-inspiring intangible cultural heritage. Personally, I think that when you come to Chongqing, you can completely ignore the city's scenery or stroll through the pedestrian streets, but you absolutely must see the Dazu Rock Carvings. The guide's explanations throughout were very professional and engaging. I also highly recommend watching the 4K and dome theater movies, as they are very helpful in understanding the history and cultural value of the Dazu Rock Carvings!โ

Many thanks to Mr. Hu, the handsome and considerate driver and guide from Chongqing Hangwei Travel Agency. The journey from Chongqing to Wulong involves nearly 6 hours on the highway and another hour on the winding mountain roads, both extremely steep and difficult to drive. However, he drove very smoothly, without any bumps or sudden braking. It was the most comfortable mountain road experience I've had in my 20 years of travel. He was very meticulous and considerate, providing detailed and thoughtful explanations of the key points at each attraction. Especially for our small group of 8, which included 44 Australian friends, he was particularly patient in explaining and reminding us of everything. In the evening, he even took us to a hot pot restaurant near the hotel, near the entrance of Shenxian Street. Absolutely fantastic! ๐๐๐ Thank you again, Mr. Hu, for your hard work and companionship throughout the day! ๐โ

Overall, it matched the description. The driver was a woman with excellent driving skills and was very enthusiastic. She even offered to help take photos. I give Ctrip and the driver five stars. The only regret was that some tourists had poor team spirit and were not punctual, arriving 40 minutes late. As a result, the return trip didn't start until 5:10 pm, and the group didn't finish until almost 8 pm when we reached Jiefangbei!โ

The itinerary was well-planned, and our driver/guide, Mr. Zhou, was familiar with the roads and possessed excellent driving skills, ensuring we didn't waste any time during the Spring Festival peak season.
He provided thorough explanations throughout the journey, offering meticulous and patient service, and even gave us energy packs after the tour.
The only downside was the vehicle's poor shock absorption; sitting in the last row, we felt like we were being shaken apart.
The Three Natural Bridges were only so-so, perhaps due to the dry season. The Earth Fissure, however, was definitely breathtaking and worth a visit.๎ฅ
