Departing from Queenstown, this itinerary flies over Central Otago before heading west to where glacial rivers flow into Lake Wakatipu. As you journey through two remarkable national parks, Mount Asper and the World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park, you'll witness the wondrous power of nature at work over millennia.
Upon arrival at Milford Sound Airport, we'll arrange a private transfer to the Milford Sound Marina, where you'll embark on a two-hour leisurely cruise aboard our exclusive boutique sightseeing cruise through Milford Sound, one of the world's natural wonders. The cruise will traverse the entire 16-kilometer-long sound, heading out to the Tasman Sea. Passing by the iconic Mitre Peak, the boat will explore the entire sound, with your captain highlighting interesting sights along the way, including the majestic Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock, and Stirling Falls. Keep an eye out for the area's wildlife, including seals, dolphin pods, and the rare Fiordland crested penguin (seasonal). Complimentary coffee and tea are provided on cruise.
After the cruise, we'll be transported back to Milford Sound Airport. You'll board another scheduled scenic flight over the majestic Mount Aspiring and the Southern Alps (a different route from your departure) before returning to Queenstown. During your flight, you'll experience breathtaking aerial views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Upon landing at Queenstown Airport, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu.

After landing at Milford Sound Airport, you can see the majestic Mitre Peak standing on the cape of the fiord. Next, you will board the company's cruise ship and sail along the 16-kilometer-long fiord waterway to the Tasman Sea, enjoying the unparalleled beauty around you and listening to the captain's detailed explanation.
After the tour, you will take another flight back to Queenstown over the Southern Alps. The spectacular scenery that can only be experienced from the air is breathtaking.

There are many scenic sights you will see on your flight to Milford Sound, including Skippers Canyon, Glenorchy, Mt Earnslaw, Mt Tutoko, Milford Sound, Mitre Peak, Arthur Valley, Sutherland Falls, Milford Track, Lake Te Anau, Greenstone Valley and Lake Wakatipu, depending on your flight route that day.
Parade route
Depart from Milford Sound Marina and pass the majestic Mitre Peak. Cruise along the sound and listen to your captain's stories as he points out the main attractions along the way, including the majestic Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls.
Keep an eye out for local wildlife on your cruise; New Zealand fur seals and dolphins are common sights in Fiordland, and you can occasionally spot the rare Fiordland crested penguin.

2. The airline has a minimum number of participants for each flight. If the minimum number of participants is not met, the airline reserves the right to cancel the flight and refund only the activity fee. Whenever possible, the airline will coordinate to ensure the flight meets the scheduled time.
3. infant aged 0-1 travel free of charge • infant are categorised as 11kg or below and travel free of charge on flights if they weigh less than 11kg. If they weigh more than 11kg, they will be charged the child price as per CAA legal requirements.
