▲ Yangmingshan National Park Yangmingshan boasts diverse landscapes and rich ecosystems, nurturing many rare protected animals. With luck, you might spot Taiwan's endemic bird species—the Formosan Blue Magpie. The park features blooming plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, plum flowers, azaleas, and camellias competing in beauty. In spring, cherry blossoms attract numerous visitors, while calla lilies take over at Zhuzihu in mid-March, making flower-picking a highlight. The Floral Clock, decorated with seasonal flowers, serves as Yangmingshan's iconic landmark, offering unique photo opportunities. Xiaoyoukeng, Yangmingshuwu, Lengshuikeng, and Qingtiangang are also popular destinations for hiking enthusiasts. The Yangmingshan area is rich in geothermal resources, with numerous hot spring restaurants near Xingyi Road in Beitou, where sulfur-rich springs are worth trying. Enjoy flowers in spring, escape summer heat, admire silvergrass and maple leaves in autumn, and soak in hot springs during winter—each season offers distinct pleasures to explore!

▲ [Flower Clock] Yangmingshan Park is located in the Datun Mountain Range, offering distant views of the layered peaks of Guanyin Mountain. With its mild climate and cool summers, it's an ideal retreat from the heat. The park features volcanic landscapes such as sulfur vents and hot springs, along with a variety of flowers including plum, cherry, peach, plum blossoms, azaleas, and camellias, ensuring year-round attractions. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom in abundance, drawing crowds of visitors. The famous Flower Clock, composed of seasonal blooms, is a perfect spot for photos. Yangmingshan Park offers unique delights each season: flower viewing in spring, summer escapes from the heat, admiring silvergrass and maple leaves in autumn, and soaking in hot springs during winter. Surrounded by trails, it's ideal for hiking and leisurely walks, whether you're gazing at distant mountain vistas or admiring the flowers up close. The park seamlessly blends natural scenery with leisure activities, whether you're exploring volcanic terrain or experiencing the changing seasons.

▲ [Xiaoyoukeng] This is a post-volcanic geological landscape area. Turning right from Xiaoguanyin Station on Yangjin Highway leads to the viewing trail, featuring fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs, and spectacular collapsed terrain. From the viewing platform, visitors can see volcanic cones such as Zhuzishan, Datunshan, Qixingshan, and Xiaoguanyinshan, as well as the Jinshan coastline and parking lot. Plant enthusiasts can spend about 10 min exploring the arrow bamboo forest trail to observe arrow bamboo, silvergrass fields, and volcanic plants.

▲ [Sulfur Valley] The Sulfur Valley Geothermal Area is a destination brimming with natural charm, surrounded by a rich geological environment of igneous and sedimentary rocks that showcase unique landforms. There are also many attractions worth visiting, such as Dragon-Phoenix Valley and Huangxi Hot Spring Trail, offering visitors opportunities for leisurely exploration. After your visit, you can relax at the foot-soaking pools. The hot springs here are acidic sulfate springs, influenced by underground heat, with water rich in sulfides that appears yellowish-white, known as "White Sulfur." The warm and comfortable springs are perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Sulfur Valley combines geological wonders with hot spring pleasures, allowing you to admire natural views while enjoying leisure time, making it an excellent choice for relaxation. Whether you're interested in geological exploration or simply want to soak your feet and unwind, this place promises a delightful travel experience.

▲ [Beitou Park] Beitou is rich in culture and legends. After getting off at Xinbeitou MRT Station, follow the mist of hot springs and you'll see the lush greenery of Beitou Park. Covering an area of over 60,000 square meters, the park features dancing fountain jets at its entrance that move to music, with lights and water sprays bringing vitality to old Beitou. Along Guangming Road, rare ancient trees stand as witnesses to centuries of history, passing by the eco-friendly green library that combines literary charm with energy efficiency. The Beitou Creek once produced "Beitou Stone," though it's hard to find now. Climbing up Zhongshan Road, visitors can explore the Meiting Visitor Center, Beitou Open-Air Hot Spring Baths, and Hot Spring Museum, all showcasing the beauty of Japanese architecture with red bricks, wooden windows, and the scent of sulfur. The shaded creek and greenery create a timeless atmosphere. Surrounded by attractions like Thermal Valley, a visit here on weekends is sure to bring joy and relaxation, leaving you refreshed and fulfilled.

▲ [Beitou Library] Beitou Library is Taiwan's first green building library, seamlessly blending nature and technology. It has been listed by an American website as one of the "25 Most Beautiful Public Libraries in the World," garnering international attention. Visitors here can not only experience a tranquil reading atmosphere but also admire its unique design, making it an excellent destination to explore Beitou's culture and ecology.

▲ Thermal Valley Located next to Beitou Hot Spring Park, Thermal Valley is one of the sources of Beitou's hot springs. Perpetually shrouded in sulfurous smoke that evokes images of hell, it's also known as "Hell Valley" or "Ghost Lake." The hot springs here have the highest water temperature in the Datun Mountain volcanic group, with dreamlike mist creating a fairyland atmosphere. It was once listed as one of Taiwan's Eight Scenic Views during the Japanese colonial era. After recent renovations, Thermal Valley has been revitalized with new features including a lakeside trail and hot spring experience facilities such as an entrance hand-soaking pool and large sloped love seats. Visitors can stroll along the trail to enjoy natural steam spa treatments while admiring the beautifully landscaped gardens that showcase a renewed fairy-tale ambiance.

▲ [Beitou Hot Spring Museum] The Beitou Hot Spring Museum is a building full of historical charm, renowned in its early days as a public hot spring bathhouse. Its exterior features the rural style of the English Tudor period, with red brick walls and black tiles set against lush greenery, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. This historic site has been preserved and transformed into today's museum, serving as an excellent starting point for exploring Beitou. The lookout tower is one of the favorite areas for visitors, offering a distant view of the verdant Beitou Park and the Beitou Library, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty after a bath. The tatami activity hall provides an open view, overlooking the Beitou Valley and the park's stunning scenery. The well-ventilated space carries a faint sulfur scent, allowing visitors to deeply experience the charm of Beitou's hot springs. This place is not only a witness to history but also embodies the profound affection of Beitou's residents for their land.
