Introduction
Travel along the west coast through stunning scenery to reach the heart of the region—the mining town of Greymouth.
Departing the glacier town of Fox Glacier in the morning, we cross glacial lakes and travel along the west coast. Stop for morning tea (at your own expense) in the rural town of Harihari, then continue north through native rainforests and gold mining towns before enjoying lunch (at your own expense) in Hokitika, the "wild foods capital."
Your one-way journey will conclude in Greymouth, then take the scenic alpine train (train not included, please book separately) to Christchurch.
