Reviews: Kuala Selangor Fireflies & Blue Tears Tour
Guest User2026-09-16
We couldn't see the Blue Tears very well because of the rain. Be sure to check the local weather when planning a tour. (The weather is different from Kuala Lumpur, so you need to check the weather in Puala Selangor.) Also, I do not recommend Fridays because the traffic is terrible (I was looking forward to Monkey Hill, but the sun had already set by the time we arrived, so we just saw the monkeys from the car and drove past). However, Guide Sasi did her best even in difficult situations.

Reviews: Kuala Lumpur sky mirror + monkey hill + sea eagle + firefly + blue tears private chartered tour - including tickets
Guest User2026-01-23
The tour is good, I recommend it, but there are a lot of nuances. The boat to the Mirror of the Sky departs at 10:00 a.m., and low tide on the shallows lasts about an hour and a half. The photos are truly magical, but you spend an hour and a half walking through the mud among swarming shellfish. A Chinese girl stepped on a thorny shell and hurt her foot; shoes are not allowed. The next visit—an Indian temple closed for renovations—takes five minutes. The monkey mountain is a real challenge. Don't even think about feeding the monkeys; they'll pounce right away. One snatched a child's slipper and stole it, they caught up with her, and then returned it. It's a dangerous sight to be among hundreds of monkeys. The cannons—they're nothing to see at all, just metal cylinders, no idea what they're for. As a bonus, we were taken to the wishing tree—interesting. The huge tree is all tied up with ribbons. Next to it is a beach covered in shells, and the kids were happy. The next part of feeding the eagles—nonsense. We wait until 7:15 PM and go see the fireflies. It would be beautiful, if it weren't for the boat races in the semi-darkness. They start racing each other—it's scary.

Thank you, Guide, for your kind response. It was great that we could communicate in English even though the guide was a local. Thank you also for the wonderful photos.

Reviews: Kuala Lumpur Round-Trip Ipoh Day Tour: Kellie's Castle + Mirror Lake + Ipoh World at Han Chin Pet Soo + Concubine Ln + Perak Cave Temple
Guest User2026-07-14
I had a very difficult experience: the tour was supposed to start at 9:30 instead of 8:30. There was an accident on the road, and the drive took almost 4 hours instead of 2:30. We first visited a cave—it was beautiful, but we couldn't decide whether we could only do the dry part or whether the lower route was also accessible. Then we went to the castle. The driver basically just takes you to the designated spot on the route and waits in the car. There's no tour, no explanation of the place. The driver himself is nice, communicative, and diligent, but it's not a tour, not a guided tour, just a transfer to the designated spots. From the castle, we went to town, where we only had time to eat before we had to move on. But I really wanted to see the town. Then, for some reason, we went to the train station for 10 minutes, and then to a mirror lake. In the end, when we arrived at the lake, there were 15 minutes left before it closed. The boat rides were over, and I would have loved to have taken one. All this points to problems with route planning. It would be logical to leave the city for later; nothing will be closed there, and you can wander around.

This pass entitles you to travel from the airport to the city and back. Furthermore, all journeys within the city are included. Therefore, you don't need to worry about buying a ticket each time you travel on public transport.
