Reviews: Koh Samui: Private Longtail Boat to Pig Island with Snorkel
Guest User2026-04-08
The staff at Naphat Tour were very welcoming and contacted me via email a day in advance. Our family of four traveled on one boat, and the captain patiently waited for us at Pig Island; we didn't have to change boats for the return trip, as some other tourists had mentioned. The snorkeling location was particularly noteworthy; it wasn't the popular Tanjung Pied snorkeling spot, as only two longtail boats were there. The children were thrilled to see so many fish.

A well organised excursion. First we were picked up in a van which did the milk run to various hotels to pick up guests (up to an hour). Then we all met at the pier and ‘checked in’. There was an opportunity to purchase beverages and use the toilets (for 10 baht). We then boarded the boat and set off for Pig Island. Note that they use a speed boat which is quick 10-15’ but it is a bumpy ride and my niece was quite seasick. Once we arrived on Pig Island there was a bit of a scramble to find loungers but there were plenty of tables and chairs and umbrella coverage from the sun. There was a bar where one could purchase beverages and snacks. And of course there were the pigs! They were very very tame and playful. They were clearly used to humans and we were well instructed by the crew not to feed them and not to tease them but to approach them gently. The setting was beautiful and the water was warm and clear. Lots of great photo opportunities. After about an hour on pig island we took the boat a short distance (10’) to a reef off the coast of Kao Tan for some snorkelling. It was not the Great Barrier Reef but still spotted some interesting fish and coral. After about 45’ of snorkelling we went to the other side of Koh Tan and docked on the beach. There we had a meal that was not as bad as we were expecting. Actually very tasty with spring rolls, soup, rice, a vegetable stir fry, chicken, and fresh fruit for dessert. Importantly there were toilets at this stop (and at the Pig Island stop) that were basic but clean. We then took the short ride back to the pier and then the drive back to our respective hotels. All in all it was a fun half day and our lead crewman Tom was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout.

Reviews: From Koh Samui: Day Tour Ang Thong with Kayak, Snorkel & Lunch
Guest User2026-04-13
The trip was fantastic!!! The transfer picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. We had breakfast and lunch during the trip! It was a challenge to get to the top, but it was definitely worth it. We tried kayaking—I loved it—and also snorkeled to explore the underwater world! The team—the guide and captain—were all very attentive and thoughtful, thank you so much!
