After reading the comments, I prefer this castle in Castel Coch for the magnificence of its ceilings and its unexpected interior decor, among other things; its designer is really excentric, excessive but admirable; Compared with Castel Coch is a very austere fort and too many stairs;★

My experience is not that scary as I did the tour in the morning. Probably it is scary during the night, especially the background audio. I recommend to do the tour at night. ★

This is a great tour of historic castles , and just the right amount of Welsh history. Gareth did a fabulous job and you can tell he is passionate about his country of Wales. I also enjoyed having ample time to explore the various castles. Definitely a must if you come to the Cardiff area! Even tho it was an 8 hour day, it did not feel rushed but relaxed.
