Wumeng Grass Plain + Yuyuhai Yi Ethnic Town 1-day tour
Day 1: Depart from Liupanshui city center, Wumeng Grass Plain + Yeyuhai Yi Village of a Thousand Households, return to Liupanshui
In the morning, take a bus from the designated location to---Yeyuhai Haiping Qianhu Yi Village, which is about a 1-hour drive. Under the clear sky, rows of brown-roofed, red-walled houses are scattered uniquely. In the courtyards, flower beds in front of the doors bloom with various small flowers, creating a peaceful and beautiful scene. Built against the mountains and by the water, this is the Yeyuhai Qianhu Yi Village in Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City. It has resettled 4,123 impoverished people from 1,006 households across six townships in Liupanshui, and it is also one of the city's popular summer tourist attractions.
After lunch (at guests' own expense), we'll depart by bus for the Wumeng Grassland attraction. attraction is one of the largest and highest natural grasslands in Southwest China. At 2,857 meters above sea level and with an average annual temperature of 11.1°C, the Wumeng Grassland is a prime summer escape. Here, you'll find boundless, unique grasslands, thousands of acres of dwarf azalea forests, breathtakingly beautiful alpine lakes, rich Yi ethnic culture, and the rare natural wonder of Buddha's Light. The area also boasts the majestic, unique, dangerous, steep, and secluded Niupingliangzi and Badan Mountains.
