Reviews: Red Sea Glass Boat and Desert Safari with Snorkeling in Egypt - Two Activities in One Day
Guest User2025-11-06
We joined a group tour, and the Red Sea day included free time. Booking optional excursions on a tour was too expensive – $95 for the boat trip and $80 for the desert excursion. So, I searched on Ctrip and found this package, which was quite good and affordable. We bought it for our group of seven, and they even provided a Chinese-speaking guide (an Egyptian who spoke quite good Chinese). The glass-bottom boat trip had one level below sea level. After a 20-minute ride, we could go down and observe the shallow waters through the glass for half an hour (there was also a diving interactive program). Because the waves were quite high that day and I can't swim, we didn't try snorkeling, but three of our group members did, and they said they swallowed quite a few mouthfuls of seawater, haha. The desert quad bikes were a little scary for girls, so most of us sat on the back of the staff. The go-karts were easy to drive. The camel ride was relatively short, and the camel girls' attitude was so-so. Back in the village, there were belly dancing, spinning, and qigong performances. The whole trip was incredibly cost-effective. The only downside is that Egyptians have no sense of time, which is really tolerable. They said they'd pick us up at the hotel entrance at 10 am, and we arrived before 10 am under the blazing sun, only to wait 20 minutes for the car to arrive. Later, when we were leaving the village for the tour, the guide called a car, repeatedly saying "5 minutes, 5 minutes," and we ended up waiting for almost an hour. However, considering the value of the package, this minor flaw is completely acceptable, as our tour buses rarely depart on time either. Since all the photos I took already include people, I won't post them here; instead, I'll share a picture of a desert sunset.
Reviews: Full-day Dolphin House And Swim With Dolphin
Guest User2025-11-16
A great tour, I highly recommend it. We were picked up from our hotel at the agreed-upon time in the morning, picked up other tourists along the way, then arrived at the pier and boarded a double-deck boat. We then set off along the route as planned, took us to a dolphin spot where we had the opportunity to snorkel and see them up close. We then made two snorkeling stops, with a decent lunch in between. On the way back, the boat stopped for a banana boat ride, and since there weren't many people interested, we didn't stay long. Then everyone was taken to the pier and dropped off at their hotels. Everything was great.

Big massive shout out to our private guide Mahmoud genuinely one the nicest people we have met. He stayed with myself and my partner the whole time whilst we was in a group he was there for us and helped us throughout the whole journey, there was zero language barrier as his English was amazing and this was such a relief Upon arrival as we were unsure what to expect even after reading prior reviews but I would seriously recommend using this company (funny picnic) if you are ever in Hurghada. Also a shout out to our snorkelling guides everyone is just amazing the energy is exactly what you need absolute breath of fresh air… if I could offer one piece of advise is that if you do not want any pictures you just have to be a little stern as the photographer was very enthusiastic and just wanted to give you the best picture opportunities however perhaps a little pushy at times. (I will say it wasn’t as expensive as we thought, it was our engagement trip so we wanted some professional pictures and videos so we didn’t mind). Overall amazing day couldn’t fault it at all thank you to Mahmoud and everyone else involved. Hopefully see you soon.
Reviews: Fly to Cairo:Explore Pyramids & Optional Tutankhamun's Mask Visit
Guest User2025-11-20
Everything went smoothly. Our very nice German-speaking tour guide, Ahmad Sharif, was on site and explained a lot – including about the country and its people – and took photos of the participants at the sights. The flight times were good (departing around 9 am, returning around 10 pm, although there was a one-hour delay). We visited the Pyramids, and for €15, a 30-minute camel ride to a viewpoint was a great experience (in my opinion, better than the horse-drawn carriage, which was quite bumpy). We also saw the Sphinx, had lunch (a buffet, good but nothing special and quite crowded), and visited the new Egyptian Museum. Of course, you can only see a fraction of the museum in three hours. The tour guide spent two hours showing the most important exhibits (for example, a 4,500-year-old boat in a neighboring building – sensational!). Then we had another hour to explore on our own. Afterwards, those who wanted could take a 30-minute Nile cruise in Cairo at night for €15. The tour is highly recommended.
