Malacca, a port city facing the Straits of Malacca, which connects the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea, developed as a stopover on the Maritime Silk Road and was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2008. It has long prospered as a hub for trade, and many people have come and gone. You can see the streets of Malacca, where traces of its rich history and diverse culture remain.
