The whole experience was great. The staff on the train were attentive, the good was delicious and the scenery spectacular. In terms of the company they were helpful. Our only challenge was that the taxi driver in Puno didn’t seem sure where to take us and tried to drop us at the coach station, but easily sorted in the end. The description included transfer at Cusco and, which apparently isn’t part of the activity, but the company honoured the description and sorted a transfer for us. If you can afford to splash out it is definitely worth doing this experience.

Overall, the organization was good, but the border crossing with its digital forms was very annoying. The boat trip to the island takes a long time, and the stay itself is very short (1.5 hours) compared to the travel time.
