Reviews: 3-hour wilderness cruise in Tasman Island, Tasmania with fast ticket issue [Port Arthur/Devil's Garden]
Guest User2026-01-13
It was a foreign tour group, and the entire tour was conducted in English. The cruise was spectacular; we saw unique landforms, seals, and the biggest surprise was seeing many dolphins. Brunch was simple: coffee and bread. Lunch was sandwiches. We also visited the Port Arthur historical site to see the prison. The environment inside was excellent and very beautiful, just be careful as there was a lot of what looked like kangaroo droppings on the ground. Although we left very early in the morning, we returned early as well, so we weren't too tired.

The itinerary was reasonable, and we strictly followed the itinerary. Pennicott Wilderness Travel Agency provided excellent service.
Reviews: From Hobart: Port Arthur Cape Raoul Wilderness Cruise

Such a fantastic day. Our bus driver Ashleigh was cheerful and informative. The Cape cruise was a highlight of our Tasmanian trip. Our Captain, Tom, was very masterful, knowledgeable and entertaining. The crew were friendly and helpful, and the boat was comfortable and clean. We were extremely fortunate with calm seas, and saw seals and lots of dolphins, as well as the spectacular coastline. The office staff were also very chipper and efficient. We highly recommend Pennicott Wilderness Journeys, From Hobart to Port Arthur Cape Raoul Cruise.

The boat trip was great and the cliffs were fantastic. Port Arthur is a very beautiful place despite its history as a prison.
Reviews: Tasman Peninsula Day Trip with Cruise & Devils from Hobart

The boat trip of this tour was really a lot of fun. We were given red slickers to wear and it was windy with salty spray, so glad to have this. The bus driver was Phil and he was really helpful to give us a heads up what was happening. On the boat, we saw hundreds of dolphins. The boat captain was really good to turn the boat constantly at the sea caves and seal colonies so everyone could get a good view. Lavender Place was where we had morning tea and also lunch, which was included. It was good quality and a nice little place to visit. The Unzoo was a quirky little wildlife park, but I did get to see Tasmanian Devils up close. Also got to feed and pet kangaroos. I thought the tour was really excellent overall.
