We were picked up from our hotel directly and promptly (a little sign with our name). Masaru our driver was fantastic, safe and has excellent English. Where we struggled he has an app for translation. He was kind, clear and patient. There is a fair amount of 'in car' time with many of the sights being an hour away from Sapporo. The car itself was comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the nature, blossoms and all the geothermal and volcanic sights. Masaru gave us additional options when we were ahead of schedule and sat with us on Lake Toya for a fantastic local lunch, translating for us. The highlights of the tour were Hell Valley and Lake Toya which are beautiful and dramatic. As a final gift finding out we were expecting as is Masaru's wife he stopped off at a famous Shinto temple to buy us a talisman for good luck and a safe delivery. My wife cried at such a kind and human gesture! We had fantastic weather for the tour but I can imagine this would not be as enjoyable on a day with worse weather due to the driving and sites being all outdoors.

Thao Island was humorous and engaging, and the itinerary was well-planned. This time we parted ways in Noboribetsu, but I'd love to experience the whole tour again next time.

I chose to visit Jigokudani (Hell Valley) as my last stop, then checked directly into Ryūnoya, a hot spring resort in Noboribetsu. I left my large luggage at my hotel in Sapporo and only brought a small suitcase to Noboribetsu, having informed customer service beforehand. They were wonderful; they left our luggage there for free. The tour guide was also very friendly and professional, and the entire itinerary was well-organized. The snowmobile ride at Lake Toya was amazing, the pie at Lake Hill was delicious, the lake view from the observation deck was beautiful, and the bear ranch was definitely worth seeing. Jigokudani was spectacular. Finally, the tour guide noticed that the bus from my hotel passed by and let us park there for free, so we didn't have to drag our luggage through Jigokudani. Thank you so much to the tour guide and driver! Overall, this tour was very worthwhile. The tour guide informed us of the pick-up location the night before, and the customer service was excellent and responded quickly. It was a very clear and helpful tour, highly recommended. Tour guide Xiaoyu was fantastic!

Rii is an excellent tour guide, she is knowledgeable, very patient and very professional in her work. The driver is great and we enjoy the tour very much. The tour package is highly recommended and the snow scenery along the routes to these places is beautiful.
