[Old Town]
Old Town is the birthplace of California and an early Spanish colony, exuding a strong Mexican exotic charm. It preserves many of California's early historic buildings and authentic Mexican cuisine. With over 150 shops, multiple museums, and historical sites, it comes alive during the Day of the Dead celebration (Oct 1–Nov 3) featuring music performances, haunted house adventures, horror tours, and altar displays (Ofrendas).
La Jolla Cove
La Jolla is surrounded by the ocean on three sides, with dramatic cliffs and a winding coastline featuring wide, shallow beaches and crystal-clear blue waters. Thanks to its pristine environment, sea lions and seals are frequent visitors here. These adorable creatures lazily bask on the sand, drawing travelers to stop and capture close-up photos.
[The Kiss of Victory]
On August 14, 1945 (August 15 Beijing time), Japan issued the Imperial Rescript on the Termination of the War, expressing its willingness to accept the Potsdam Declaration. This marked Japan's unconditional surrender, bringing World War II to an end.
