▲ Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest National Park · Wangtianshu Scenic Area (4A), located in the national nature reserve of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is a tropical rainforest recognized worldwide in China.

▲ Over 1,000 species of vertebrates and more than 6,000 species of higher plants compete and thrive here. The attraction, centered around the iconic tropical rainforest species, the Shorea chinensis community, offers a comprehensive view of the natural wonders of the tropical rainforest from water, land, and air, fully showcasing its ecosystem.

▲ The Wangtian tree is an iconic species of the tropical rainforest and a nationally endangered protected plant. Most Wangtian trees are found in pristine valley rainforests and mountain rainforests. The Wangtian tree is the tallest broadleaf tree species in China. It typically grows 60–100 meters tall, with a diameter at breast height of about 100 cm, and some can reach 200 cm. Having withstood centuries of wind and rain, the Wangtian tree stands proudly among numerous other trees. Its root system forms buttress roots, and its trunk is straight, branchless, and soars towards the sun, reaching into the clouds.

▲ Classic views ① Skywalk – Located among the canopies of the Shorea trees, it is approximately 500 meters long and 36 meters above the ground at its highest point, making it China's first canopy walkway. ② Philip's Trail – This 2 km trail is named in honor of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who witnessed China's tropical rainforests for the world. ③ Tropical rainforest wonders along the way – Epiphytic phenomena, strangulation phenomena, "dragon climbing and phoenix attaching" (vines climbing trees), "dead wood coming to life" (new growth from dead trees), large buttress roots, parasitic flowers, wild banana forests, and more.

▲ Step into the "giant" world of the tropical rainforest, where towering trees block out the sun, lush greenery abounds, and every step lands on a thick carpet of fallen leaves, like the heartbeat of nature. Look up and see the dappled sunlight filtering through the dense foliage, as if you've entered the Emerald City and are conversing with ancient times.
