We had a great time making and eating waffles in Ghent! We also enjoyed drinking the Belgian beer samples! We were 2 adults and 2 12 year olds and we all enjoyed waffle making and look forward to making them again at home!★

I'm not at all religious but to see the Madonna of Bruges is worth the cost alone. It was genuinely took the breath away and made the other sculptures around it seems dull. There are other interesting paintings and pieces on display but the Madonna is the crown jewels.★

Sint-Janshospitaal is a very well-maintained museum. We're glad we visited. We left feeling a little dejected after everything we'd seen and heard. It's incredible how dedicated the Sisters are to helping all the sick! And epidemics certainly did occur! Yet, the mortality rate among the patients was significantly low, unlike that of the Sisters. Many died young. We were amazed to read how they managed to achieve such an ingenious air purification system with minimal resources. After the museum, you can also visit the pharmacy, which is still exactly as it was. We concluded our visit with a snack and a drink in the garden. Highly recommended!
