We didn’t have a guide, it was self guided. The David is marvellous, most definitely worth the tickets. Mesmerising.

The tour was satisfying, covering the main monuments and buildings as well as small gems that tourists might miss. I would add a visit to Dante's House Museum. The guide was kind and available to answer my children's questions. I would have preferred a group of similar languages; the guide had to do double duty in Italian and English.


