We had a great experience visiting Oak Alley Plantation, and a big part of it was thanks to our driver, Kin. Originally from New Orleans, he shared a lot of knowledge about the city’s history during the drive and gave us excellent recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try. He was truly great and very professional. I highly recommend him! His vehicle was also very comfortable, which made the trip even more enjoyable. As for Oak Alley itself, the visit is interesting for anyone who wants to see the inside of a former slaveholder’s house, as both the mansion and the grounds are very well preserved. The guided tour of the house is paid, but access to the gardens and the former slave quarters is free. If your main interest is learning more about the lives of enslaved people, I would recommend visiting Whitney Plantation instead, as it offers a deeper and more focused perspective on that history.

This was such a unique experience and unlike anything I have done in New Orleans before. Taking the time to travel outside of the city to see a gorgeous plantation was amazing, but the real treat was the history we learned about while there. Not only was the Big House tour informative and interesting, the self guided tour of the enslaved quarters and lives was really eye opening.

Great tour, Hollis was amazing, giving authentic and heart felt information about how Katrina and it's aftermath affected the New Orleans black community. Kept you up to date with meeting arrangements and made sure you were dropped off at a suitable and safe place after the tour finished. Cost of the tour more than reasonably priced. A 'must do' for your trip to New Orleans.

Great experience. Our guide Christopher was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and made the experience fun with his bubbly personality but always professional. We learned so much about the history of the city which was our goal. If we were recommend anyone to this tour I would tell them ask for Christopher.

My wife and I really enjoyed the city tour. Marcus our guide was very knowledgeable and explained many interesting facts about all the places we passed and visited. He made us feel like a family member visiting his hometown!
