It's a typical day trip tour, with similar itineraries across different companies. It includes local attractions, island hopping, fruit and honey shopping, etc. There's a little shopping, but it's not mandatory, and both sellers and buyers are quite restrained. This is typical for this price range; if you don't want to waste time waiting for others, book the 500+ RMB per person tour. Special praise to the local customer service representative, Mikey. My partner and I stayed in an apartment outside the river in District 4, outside the free pick-up and drop-off area. However, considering it would be inconvenient for us to get a taxi so early in the morning, Mikey thoughtfully arranged for a guide to pick us up with a car. Excellent service!

A trip really comes down to the environment and the tour guide. Jimmy was an experienced and energetic guide and host which multiplied the entire experience make sure you give that guy a raise. The tunnels are a must and both an educational and exciting experience. I didn’t find the river as exciting however Jimmy and new friends made the experience worthwhile. Definitely go with this company and hope to get Jimmy!

I booked a VIP tour this time, and the itinerary was very packed, with five or six boat trips in total, making it a fairly in-depth tour. The Mekong River didn't look very clear; the water was quite yellow and covered with water hyacinths, but there was no unpleasant odor. The island had many plants (various fruits) and animals (pythons, crocodiles, catfish, etc.), and the guide led the tour, providing very enthusiastic explanations. At the narrow section of the river where boats were manually rowed, the guide mentioned that a tip was expected for the rowers. Before the tour ended, the guide suggested that if we were satisfied with the trip, we could also tip him; I felt I had to give him something, otherwise I'd feel awkward.

This was honestly one of the best trips I’ve ever booked — an absolute must for anyone like us staying in District 1 and wanting to explore beyond the main tourist area. Tee, my fantastic guide, and her lovely friend picked up my son and myself from our hotel and took us on a wonderful voyage of discovery. They navigated the lively Friday night traffic with ease, bringing us to hidden gems we never would have found on our own, all whilst sharing fascinating insights about this vibrant city and introducing us to its amazing food. I truly can’t recommend this tour enough!
