When I first walked into MASP, I was blown away by Lina Bo Bardi's glass “floating” easels and the monumental building. On later visits, though, I realized I was missing context for many works and often didn't know what I was really looking at. I started learning, and suddenly the paintings began to make deeper sense. Today I offer you the same shortcut: clear, accessible, fun and with the ticket included.
✨ Step into the world of art at the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) ✨
Explore Latin America's most iconic museum with a guide and discover masterpieces from Rubens to Portinari. Hear stories, curiosities, and even hidden gossip behind the canvas.
Within two hours we can't cover every work in MASP's main exhibition, which also changes regularly. That's why you'll have access to our website, where you'll find about 98% of the works currently on view. Each entry includes a notes about the artist and the piece, plus guideline prices for comparable works by the same artist sold at auction (based on public records).
Didn't get to everything? Feel free to stay in the museum and finish the rest via the website. We update the content twice a month. When you book the tour, your access to the website is guaranteed. So the next time you visit the museum, you'll have the artwork information with you on the web. Many works at MASP have only a title-and-artist label; we add the missing context.
