I was planning to scout out the bus stop from Termini Station to Fiumicino Airport before making a reservation. There was a staff member there, and when I asked about tickets and the bus, they kindly answered all my questions. Also, the reservation tickets for this bus were cheaper than other airport buses, so I bought them on the day. Showing the voucher was all that was needed. The departure time was accurate, and we arrived in about an hour.

The tour was interesting and very worth paying extra for a small group if you can, as you have more chances to ask questions and it's easier to hear (headphones are provided but my 9 year old son couldn't get on with his, so it really helped to be in a small group for him to stay close to the guide so he could hear). Our guide was wonderful. On our way into the Colosseum we came across a tourist who was part of another guided group, but had become separated from her group and lost her entry ticket, and so the staff would not let her enter. Our guide tried to reason with the staff but they were being very strict, so she went above and beyond to go and find her group leader and retrieve her entry ticket. She seemed to genuinely care about tourists having a good experience at the Colosseum, and her descriptions and explanations covered a real love of the place and it's history, that brought it alive for us.
