Arenal & Los Lagos were wonderful. Absolutely stunning views, very friendly staff, and lunch was great. Our guide was friendly and provided some good information. Our driver was pretty terrifying, often trying to anger other drivers with strobe high beams and dangerous driving. Overall, we’re glad we went, but the drive was needlessly stressful. We’ve spent a good deal of time in Central America and are aware the driving standards are different; compared to other, similar drives in the area, it was incredibly dangerous driving, including speeding past a deceased person on the side of the road.★
