Reviews: San Francisco: Golden Gate Bridge Catamaran Cruise
Guest User2025-10-27
LOVE this boat ride. Was the third time I’ve done this ride. I always take anyone from out of town since you see all the sights, AND an amazing view of the GG Bridge. One time we even saw whales breaching on the other side of the bridge! Awesome crew, great beverages and snacks, and SO much better than taking k e of the big motorized boats from the Wharf. Love the catamaran sail!
Reviews: Muir Woods and Sausalito (Return by Bus or Ferry)

Danilo was a terrific driver and guide, sharing lots of interesting info. Very easy pick up location by Union Square despite Super Bowl chaos. Loved the short stop at the Golden Gate Bridge, and Muir Woods was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and comfortable to walk around on my own. Do NOT waste your money on the ferry option from Sausalito. I was told it came at least hourly, but when I was ready to leave, I would have had to wait over two hours for the ferry that is included in this purchase. Instead, I bought a ticket on a different ferry line that runs much more frequently. So I wasted the extra Trip Advisor cost plus had to buy an additional ticket. If you take the bus and decide you want to go home on the ferry, just buy yourself a ticket at the ferry dock when you’re ready to leave and save yourself $ and aggravation. Otherwise, it was a lovely outing.

I took the tour with my wife and two daughters in their early 20’s. Let me say this first, the location to be picked up to start the tour was not clear at all. That created a bit of confusion. Now, the good stuff. In the end, we all loved it. The trees were mesmerizing and breathtaking. Luckily, the day was sunny. We had got rained on the previous five days. At the site, Muir Woods, we went all the way to bridge 4. The path is built with wooden planks so you do not walk on mud the whole time (it had rained). That was different as I expected to walk on dirt. As a matter of fact, I appreciated that because this way there is not much human interaction with the environment as to depredate it by making paths as people choose, by peeling off bark or writing on the trees, etc. On the way back, we took the trail with no wooden planks, only dirt/mud.We wish we had had at least 30 more minutes to enjoy the place a little more. Walking from the parking lot, checking in and walking to bridge 4 and back to the parking lot took up all the time we had. Thirty more minutes would have added time to breathe and take it all in, and perhaps stop by the mementos store. Driver was friendly and drove safely, and served as a tour guide, as well. As a highlight he made a stop on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge from where we could see the sunset and say good bye to the city as that was our last day in San Francisco. Remember to appreciate the place through your eyes and senses and not only through the lenses of a camera. It is so easy to miss the moment. Hope this helps. And…remember to tip the driver/tour guide, even if it is not 20%. Cheers!
Reviews: From San Francisco: Silicon Valley Tech Small-Group Tour

I loved this tour. Joy truly brought it to life with her passion and depth of knowledge. I learned so much about the Silicon Valley region and really enjoyed getting a sense of its enterprising spirit, innovation, and history. Joy made the experience engaging, thoughtful, and memorable throughout. Highly recommend.
Reviews: Small-Group Wine Country Tour from San Francisco with Tastings

Our tour guide, Steve, was a lovely man. It was hard to understand him occasionally but he was so sincere and sweet. The wineries were nice and ranged in value, so that was nice. Madonna Estates was the most expensive but was lovely and we got to pet a kitten which made my day. Sutter Home was beautiful and so was Napa Wine. Lunch in Sonoma was delicious and we took Steve’s recommendation of The Cheese Factory which was delicious!
