Reviews: 5in1 Island Hopping in Langkawi: Pulau Beras Basah, Eagle feeding, Dayang Bunting, Fishing and BBQ

Joining a tour at the end of the Chinese New Year holiday, with one guide leading two large groups, resulted in numerous problems, including tourists not meeting on time and the speedboat engine breaking down halfway through the trip. The allotted time at Pregnant Woman Island was too short to buy tickets and disembark, and the water quality was very poor. The water at Wet Rice Island was okay, but the visibility for snorkeling was extremely low. We watched others feed the eagles from our boat; we didn't get a close look. The final seafood barbecue was typical of domestic tour group meals (fried rice, skewers, steamed prawns), and overall, it was just average. If your English is good, local tours cost only 30-40 Malaysian Ringgit for the same itinerary.

Very interesting. Enough time to see the sights. We liked it.
Reviews: Langkawi Mangrove Day Tour + Optional Chinese Guide + Shared/Private Boat + Eagle Watching + Monkey Feeding

The itinerary was good. The only drawback was that we wasted 40 minutes at the hotel. Otherwise, the actual tour time was about 2 hours. The price was okay. It would have been cheaper if we had booked locally. The online service was very good.

It was fine. Tour guide was friendly and helpful, but nothing over the top entertaining. The boat ride was safe and fun, i saw the bats in a cave, I saw plenty of monkeys, saw a whole flock of eagles from fairly up close. The fish farm was the biggest waste of time though. They show you a couple of fish tanks with fish in murky water and tell you how much they weigh and what names they’ve been given. The trip was significantly cheaper than some of the others so i can’t complain. Great few hours, fun, many pictures. Boxes checked.
Reviews: Langkawi : Kilim Geoforest Mangrove Kayak Tour with Lunch

We really enjoyed this activity. When we arrived we found our guide Wan quite easily, he was friendly and informative for the whole thing, teaching us about the mangroves, the different animals we'd encounter, and also being safe and accommodating with actually using the kayaks [other tours can sometimes be laissez-faire but he was attentive]. I'd say a normal level of fitness would be fine for this but older or more unfit people may struggle with the last bit of kayaking, but I wouldn't let that deter you, it's not very challenging. The activity itself was great, we had a small group of 8 people which was 4 couples sharing 4 kayaks which made things more intimate and easier to navigate through the windy mangrove waterways. We managed to see monkeys, the crabs they feed on, the eagles and then some bats in the bat cave. Would have liked to see more animals but that's the luck of the draw. All in all, highly recommended tour.
