▲ Your journey begins in the picturesque Christchurch. After leaving the city, your guide will not only set the scene for your adventure but also introduce and take you to explore some of the area's popular attractions.

▲ We will head to the famous blue lake—Lake Tekapo. But to get there, we must first pass through several magnificent and breathtaking mountain passes. After crossing the hills, you'll arrive at Lake Tekapo, where the stunning scenery of the lake and mountains will leave you in awe.

▲ Departing from Christchurch, we'll cross the impressive Canterbury Plains, passing by many stunning New Zealand farmlands and countryside along the way!

▲ After arriving in Tekapo, you will have time to explore the very popular Church of the Good Shepherd, see the Mackenzie Sheepdog, take Instagram-worthy photos of Lake Tekapo, and then continue to Mount Cook.

▲ Heading west, we began entering Aoraki National Park as Lake Pukaki came into view. Lake Pukaki is one of the bluest lakes you'll ever see, with breathtaking scenery framed by Aoraki/Mount Cook and the Southern Alps. We stopped to take some stunning photos, marveling at the incredible beauty before us. It's no wonder many scenes from The Lord of the Rings were filmed nearby, and we'll point these locations out for you.

▲ After arriving in Mount Cook Village, weather permitting, we should be able to capture some stunning photos of the mountain peaks. Aoraki/Mount Cook stands at 3,724m, yet this majestic peak can be viewed from the village at just 750m above sea level without requiring any acclimatization training.

▲ Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park – After arriving in Mount Cook Village, depending on the weather conditions, we should be able to capture some stunning photos of the mountain peaks. Aoraki/Mount Cook, standing at 3,724 meters, is New Zealand's highest peak. However, this magnificent mountain can be admired from the village at just 750 meters above sea level, requiring no acclimatization training.

▲ During your time in the national park, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time to enjoy independent walks/hikes or participate in optional activities. Some of our recommendations include: Kea Point or Tasman Glacier walk, scenic flights (to view the area from above and land on Tasman Glacier), or visiting Mount Cook travelers center and The Hermitage Hotel. Whatever you decide to do, we'll provide transportation to your chosen destination and ensure you're well taken care of.

▲ Christchurch – After a wonderful day of sightseeing, it's time to return to Christchurch. Please note we may make additional stops for restroom breaks if needed. **Important notice: The Hooker Valley Track is currently closed as the Department of Conservation is replacing one of its swing bridges. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2026, and the track will remain temporarily closed to the public until then.**

▲ The one-way tour ends upon arrival at Mount Cook Village, where you can choose to enjoy lunch at the famous Hermitage Hotel (optional). Explore the village and take in the majestic views of Aoraki/Mount Cook. You will also have the opportunity to take a scenic flight over this breathtaking alpine region (additional cost, subject to weather conditions). The remaining time is yours to spend as you wish. On the second day, you can choose to continue to Queenstown or return to Christchurch.
