Trinity College Dublin

Trinity College Dublin is located in the heart of Dublin. Founded in 1592 by a royal charter from Queen Elizabeth I, it has a history of over 400 years and is often compared to Oxford and Cambridge in the UK. The campus itself is a major attraction: the bell tower at the center of Parliament Square, the red-brick old buildings, and the open lawns create a quiet oasis in the bustling city. Writers such as Wilde, Swift, and Beckett once studied here, and strolling through the grounds feels like walking in the footsteps of literary giants. The signature experiences of the college are the Old Library and the Book of Kells. This illuminated manuscript, created around 800 AD, transcribes the four Gospels in Latin with intricate Celtic patterns and illustrations, drawing many travelers specifically to see it. The visit usually begins with the Book of Kells exhibition before entering the Long Room of the Old Library: a 60-meter-long space where oak bookshelves stretch from the floor to the vaulted ceiling, housing around 200,000 ancient books. Marble busts of philosophers and writers line the wings, and a 15th-century harp, which inspired the harp on Ireland's national emblem, is displayed in the hall. Early Irish manuscripts like the Book of Durrow, also housed here alongside the Book of Kells, are equally worth a closer look. The college attracts a steady stream of travelers year-round, so to appreciate the details of the manuscripts, it's advisable to allow ample time and try to avoid peak crowds.Dublin · 1.3km from downtown

Temple Bar

Many people might mistake Temple Bar for a pub when they first hear the name, but it actually refers to an area in the heart of Dublin, a charming street area brimming with Irish flair. Temple Bar is located on the south bank of the Liffey River, between the famous Trinity College and Dublin Castle. Chen Sheng once advised in a song not to get drunk in Beijing at night, but if you come to Temple Bar in Dublin, you might find it hard to resist a drink. >Temple Bar is the heart of Dublin's nightlife. Along its crisscrossing cobblestone streets, bars of all kinds vie for attention, offering authentic Guinness, Baileys, and whiskey—a huge temptation for drinkers. Even if you're not a big drinker, you should at least have a drink to make your visit worthwhile. Here, you'll find everything you can imagine about a bar: alternative electronic music, the cacophony of clinking glasses, Gaelic chatter for lively conversation, and even the air thick with the subtle aroma of alcohol. If you're not satisfied with just drinking, there are plenty of restaurants to explore, making it the perfect place to unwind in Dublin. Temple, the pub district, is not only Dublin's cultural heart but also a vibrant, bustling, cosmopolitan area in the city center. This small area boasts a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, and shops to suit different tastes and budgets, and many cultural centers and galleries are conveniently located nearby.Dublin · 1.2km from downtown

The Kell Library in Dublin is a library with a very large collection of books. It is located in an independent courtyard. The library is circular and the decoration inside is very simple. There are many books here, which attracts many readers to come and read all year round. It is a place full of cultural atmosphere.

This is the most lively area in Dublin. Almost all the tourist attractions are nearby. The Customs House is across the bridge. It is very comfortable to watch the sunset here in the evening. You must go into the various bars. There are no seats available in the most famous Temple Bar, but the others are also good.
