Things to do in Luzhi Old Town

I always thought I'd been to Luzhi before, but it felt very unfamiliar today. I wonder if my previous assumptions were just a misperception. There's a strong scholarly atmosphere here; the tranquility isn't just literal, it's on a higher level. Even during the National Day holiday, it wasn't crowded, though. Luzhi has a rich cultural heritage that you'll feel when you go there.

The night tour programs in Luzhi Ancient Town are numerous and tightly packed, but not all of them are worth watching. The signage is poor, and I couldn't find several places. When it's crowded, you have to fight for a spot, and sometimes you have to give up some. I recommend the iron flower performance.

The main attraction of Baosheng Temple is the half-hall of Tang Dynasty sculpted Arhats, which was among the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1961, along with the Palace Museum and the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang.
