Things to do in Dunhua

Although many say China's Snow Town is becoming too touristy & expensive (compared to Snow Valley), I think it is still worth visiting. There are lots of ACTIVITIES to do all within walking distance. Reindeer rides, feeding, skiing, photo op including the hot water vapor video etc. One down side is that there was no signage to designated bus to/from Yabuli station (no waiting area either). It is also difficult to find restaurants for people with dietary restrictions (eg. Vegetarian, halal etc).

If you have time or it's on your way, you can visit it. Of all the places on the trip, Zhengjue Temple is the most worthwhile to see. There was no tour route or signs for Qingzu Temple, and after seeing the statues inside, there were no further signs for the tour. The Bohai Ancient Tombs were too desolate; the shuttle bus didn't even take us to the stop, so we walked another 1.7 kilometers before finding a stop near the entrance of the tombs.

If you have time, definitely buy the package ticket on the bus—it's super fun! Some people brought several large plastic bags; you can ski and roll around on the mountain! (It's difficult without plastic bags, as they don't sell them on the mountain!)

It is best to avoid holidays when visiting Xuexiang, as the prices of various attractions during holidays will be higher than usual. There are many food, accommodation and transportation shops on Xueyun Street, and the prices are relatively cheaper.

It was pretty bad. It was crowded and chaotic. If the first gate didn't check tickets, why had someone stop people to check them? Then there was a second ticket check at the second place—WTF?! There were no QR codes for the tickets either. Multiple checks in the freezing cold, and still paper tickets—so primitive! See the video for how chaotic it was? And the parking lot was unmanaged. In short, the management was terrible. The old man checking tickets at the gate even had the audacity to say things like, "We've never even flown before." Honestly, Hallasan Mountain is covered in snow, like something out of Narnia, the climb is easy, and it's free—isn't that great?

Walking on the road to the temple, you will feel extremely calm and relaxed. The lotus pond in summer is very beautiful~ Here is also the Qingzu Temple: the birthplace of the Qing royal family. It is a national 5A-level scenic spot, worth recommending

虽然没爬上观景台，但是沿着栈道边走边玩就已经不亦乐乎，好美的森林雪景，厚厚的雪，从树枝掉下来的雪花，孩子的欢声笑语在林子里回荡，这已经足够美好！我们是从沿着雪韵大街一路走到底才上山， 人少清净。雪韵大街大石碑附近也有个登山口，人比较多。

The Great Snow Valley is very close to the Snow Village and is also a very beautiful scenic spot. There are two routes, A and B. Route A is easy and Route B is exciting. If you don't have enough time, you can go directly to Route B, which can directly reach the highest peak in Heilongjiang, Xuelong Peak. On Route A, you will encounter mythical animals, elks, roe deer, and see the snow scenery in the mountains. This is also the filming location of Where Are We Going, Dad? It is very worthwhile to come!!!

Xuexiang Cultural Exhibition Hall: A free treasure tour Walking into the Xuexiang Cultural Exhibition Hall, a free but extremely wonderful cultural tour begins, and the experience is perfect. The realistic scene restoration vividly reproduces the traditional life scenes of Xuexiang people, allowing people to experience the changes of time as if they were there. In the folk culture exhibition area, the exquisite paper-cutting art is amazing, and pieces of red paper are transformed into vivid flowers, birds, fish and insects in the hands of artists; the gorgeous Northeast costumes, with delicate embroidery and unique style, show the charm of regional culture. The staff are enthusiastic and professional, and the explanations are detailed. They answered our questions and gave us a deeper understanding of the cultural connotation of Xuexiang. This tour not only enriched the knowledge reserve, but also made the culture of Xuexiang deeply imprinted in our hearts. It was an unforgettable trip with full harvest.
