Our driver (Mahmood) and guide (Eslam) were top notch. Eslam was so knowledgeable about Alexandria and told us so much about the history and culture. We really felt a deep connection to the ancient city. Lunch was delicious right by the sea, and the catacombs were much bigger than we expected. Such a pity that Alexandria itself seems very run down and neglected. I hope the Egyptian government can invest more money into the infrastructure.
