Product reviews: Best of Bangalore Private Tour

Ruchira was an exceptionally knowledgeable and kind guide, and taking her tour was a superb way to begin my visit to Bangalore for work. She and her driver picked me up at my hotel and took me to the Bull Temple, KR Market (incredible and colorful), vada and coffee at Brahmin's Coffee Bar (highly recommend), Cubbon Park, the High Court of Karnataka, and the Vidhana Soudha. Along the way, she taught me a great deal about the region's history and culture, the Hindu religion, and local culinary traditions, as well as how to cross the street here safely. Ruchira communicated promptly via WhatsApp prior to our tour and sent me all the photos afterwards. Very professional. I encourage you to request her as your guide - she was one of the best I have had anywhere.
Product reviews: Mysore Heritage & Cultural Day Tour from Bangalore

Midhu was a standout guide. The tour to Mysore was one of the best tours I have had. It was packed with amazing things and still felt leisurely. One of the reasons I chose this tour was because it involves a few stops I didn't see on other Mysore daytrips - namely the Channapatna toy makers and the silk pellets+factories. Those ended up being my favorite experiences! Midhu did a great job of giving us enough information to keep us interested and in wonderment, without inundating us with too much. She was able to answer to our curiosities very well, and was great company through the day. The entry tickets, meals, and drive were handled very smoothly and we did not have to worry about much! Grateful for this day!
Product reviews: Bangalore Through Its Markets – Heritage & Market Walking Tour

With just one day in the city before my 11pm flight, I joined the “Bengaluru Through Its Markets – The Pete Walk”, a half-day walking tour by Unventured. It was recommended by the concierge at Grand Mercure Gopalan Mall, and I’m glad I took the advice — a far richer experience than sitting in a private car. The tour began with Bengalūru’s past, starting at Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, a beautiful 18th-century teakwood structure. Just beside it, we stepped into a small Hindu temple, where my guide, Ajith, shared insights into local religious life and daily rituals. We then visited Bangalore Fort, originally built in mud by Kempegowda in 1537 and later rebuilt in stone. Though much of it is gone, the massive granite walls still offer a quiet moment of connection to the city’s origins. From there, we entered the Pete area — Bengalūru’s old market quarter. Streets pulsed with energy: stalls overflowing with fruits, vegetables, spices, buzzing scooters, narrow lanes, and shopfronts that have barely changed in decades. The flower market was a riot of colour and scent — marigolds, roses, and jasmine piled high and strung into garlands by hand. After the sensory onslaught, we stopped for a proper local breakfast: crispy dosa (thosai), vade, and a cup of strong local brew coffee. Not sure if it was filter coffee, but it was exactly what I needed. The last part of the tour brought us into the jewellery-making lanes, where artisans still work with gold and silver using traditional methods. Then into the silk-dyeing and weaving quarters, where raw silk is dyed, stretched, and woven into saree fabric — a living art, hidden in the back lanes. This wasn’t an off-the-grid adventure, but neither was it overly polished. With Ajith’s guidance, the tour struck a perfect balance — structured yet intimate, offering a glimpse into the real Bengalūru: loud, colourful, gritty, and alive. #TravelJournal #Bangalore #Bengaluru #Unventured #UnventuredIndia #LocalTour #WalkingTour

I had my French family visiting, along with a friend travelling from the US, and we decided to experience Bangalore with Unventured – what an unforgettable choice! 🌟 We are absolutely overjoyed with the Tuk Tuk tour. Our guide, Midhu, was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She went above and beyond right from the start, even helping us secure cabs when it felt almost impossible. With two children under 10 in tow, we felt so well cared for the entire day. The tour itself was a wonderful mix of history, culture, and local life. We explored the remnants of Tipu Sultan’s palace, stepped into a 15th century temple to learn about the Hindu way of life, and wandered through the most fragrant flower market imaginable. Midhu’s storytelling brought each stop alive as she shared history through engaging stories, which kept both the adults and children captivated. We then wound our way through lively bazaars filled with spices, textiles, and treasures, before stepping into a Scottish Presbyterian Kirk, home to a 150 year old pipe organ. An unexpected highlight was visiting a Kali temple, where dogs, goats, and ravens stood watch over the graves. a A hauntingly atmospheric stop we will never forget. The day also included snacks of exotic fruit along the way and a delicious, hearty South Indian brunch at a hidden old Bangalore eatery that we’d never have found on our own. The tuk tuk rides were a delight in themselves, the children absolutely loved them, and for us adults they were the perfect way to soak in the city’s vibrancy. There were so many incredible moments that I can’t possibly cover them all in one review, but what I can say is this; if you are going to do just one tour in Bangalore, make it this one. We truly couldn’t have experienced the city this way without Unventured’s help, and we are so grateful to Midhu for making the day so memorable. Highly recommended for families, friends, and solo travellers who want to discover the real heart of Bangalore.
