Berat has maybe the most magical atmosphere of any city in Albania, and in the evening it’s doubly beautiful. Try to make sure you’ve got Saimir as your guide, as he‘s particularly knowledgeable, politically aware and culturally sensitive. It is evident that he has a lot of civic pride and that his explanations and opinions are heartfelt.
