My guide was Otilia. Time planning was great, we had sufficient time at all destinations and attractions on the journey. Otilia was a knowledgeable and passionate guide who really shared a lot of stories about Romanian history which I found very interesting myself. However, we were unable to enter Peles Castle unless we paid extra, close to 30 euros, which is too much.★

I loved learning about the Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Bran Castle, and Rasnov Fortress! Our guide, Cătălin, was able to provide us with the history behind Bran Castle and Queen Marie. He had great recommendations for how to make the most of our trip and was most helpful! I also really enjoyed learning about the Libearty Bear Sanctuary's efforts to protect brown bears and how their organization started. Some of the bears' stories were sad, but I am glad to hear the sanctuary is dedicated to their rehabilitation! The fortress and Bran Castle had amazing views! A lot of the signs were in English too, so I could follow along. Overall, great trip!★

Our tour was led by Silvia, who was energetic, passionate, professional and very knowledgeable about what we were going to see and do. I was a little apprehensive about the length of the tour being 12hours, but it didn't feel very long at all.
The castles are visited in whatever order the traffic dictates with Brasov in between.
We visited Bran Castle first which was stunning, and whilst the alloted time didn't seem that much, it was sufficient as it is only a small castle surrounded by souvenir shops.
Brasov is a beautiful old town and we had sufficient time to lunch and explore.
Peles Castle was the one I knew the least about so didn't know what to expect, however Sylvia provided a very informative tour of the ground floor and we had free time to explore the few room upstairs. This is a truly beautiful castle and we'll worth seeing.
In addition to the initial fee paid, there are other opportunities to pay for orientation tours out of the bus which are 50Lei (10€) and entries to the two castles - Other than Bran Castle, which you scan a QR code these are expected in cash. This is all clearly explained in the initial email and subsequent ticket reminder emails.
I would highly recommend this trip.★

What a fantastic way to see the countryside of Romania! Our tour guide, Sonia, was superb! We cannot say enough about how friendly, helpful and and knowledgeable she is. Made this trip the best we have done.
One note if caution, the castles, particularly Bran Castle, requires walking up very steep inclines and and lot of steps...well worth it but be prepared.
