This little sanctuary is a gem located just outside of Cusco. There is nothing fancy here but the compassion , dedication and care the volunteer and staff exhit towards Peru's wildlife, that has been rescued is exceptional. Our guide John, was enthusiastic filled with knowledge and history of the animals in the sanctuary. Seeing the Condors was a highlight of this visit. We received door to door serve and absolutely loved our visit and would recommend anyone to visit this little sanctuary to learn more about Peru's animals and support their efforts to preserve their wild life.

The mountain is amazing. You get an option to ride a horse up and down but there are parts where you have to hike up and down. We took the horse as we had a hard time breathing due to the elevation and cold wind. It is extra to go to the red valley. The food up there was also very good.


