The layover in Haikou took almost two and a half days, and considering the train ticket from Haikou to Sanya and the taxi fare between the two train stations, it was quite uneconomical. I'll definitely travel directly to and from Sanya again in the future. I was very satisfied with both hotels in Sanya! The scenery was beautiful, with clear blue skies and water, and the weather in mid-June wasn't too hot. The locals were very friendly and helpful, readily answering any questions about directions. The licensed taxis were very reliable and never took any detours.★
