Reviews: Coimbra: Live Fado Show with Glass of Port Wine
Guest User2026-09-11
Excellent introduction to the history of fado. Small, intimate setting so all of the seats had a good view and good acoustics. The musicians described the pieces in Portuguese and English, and they were very talented! Great quality of music, I enjoyed it and would go again.

Reviews: Coimbra's Timeless Tracks: An Enchanting Train Tour

I think the little train covered a lot of ground and was very informative. I liked that it was in different languages but I think the speaker could have been turned up a little in the volume. the driver was especially nice and very helpful.

Fun and exciting. The guide was very experienced in the region and took us to many under the radar locations. Lots of sightseeing and wildlife around the area, which is not crowded with tourists. Lovely restaurant as well. Definetly recommend.

We had a fantastic private tour with João Fiandeiro exploring the Templar Castle and Convent of the Order of Christ in Tomat. He is very knowledgeable about the Templars, the site, the symbolism, the history, and he was very good at answering our questions. We enjoyed it immensely and were able to expand our education on the subject. João Is definitely an authority on this subject. Highly recommended!

Xavier and Bia were extremely knowledgeable, and explain very well, the procedure to make spumante, brandy and sangria. While going to the cellar we had the opportunity to see a wonderful exhibition from different parts of the world, which I appreciated very much. And after we went to another place where we got to taste four different types of wines. It was a lovely afternoon and worth going, I got more than what I expected.
