Reviews: A day trip to Oita, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Beppu, and Lake Kinrin in Yufuin, Japan.

Our day tour to Dazaifu, Yufuin, Kamado Jigoku, and Umi Jigoku was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The itinerary was well-paced, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, shop, and truly enjoy each stop. A special thanks to our tour guide, Vivian, for making the experience even more memorable. She shared interesting stories and historical facts about every place we visited, which made us appreciate each destination on a deeper level. Her instructions were always clear, and she managed the schedule efficiently, ensuring we had enough free time while keeping the tour running smoothly. Vivian also went the extra mile by recommending local specialties and must-try food, helping us make the most of our visit. Her friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for everyone in the group made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fukuoka and Beppu. If you get Vivian as your guide, you’re in excellent hands!
Reviews: 1-Day Oita Adventure: Dazaifu, Yufuin & Kamado Jigoku

This day trip was fantastic! We visited four places, each with beautiful scenery. At Dazaifu, you can draw a fortune slip; I got a "small good" one, hoping for better academic results. Yufuin was also great for exploring, with lots of little shops. My favorite was the Beppu Ropeway 🚡. It started snowing as soon as we set off, and by the time we reached the top, everything was covered in snow—it was incredibly beautiful, and the kids loved it. My biggest complaints about the Kamado Hell were that the cannonball pit area was too small, making it very crowded, and the 30-minute time limit was too short; 45 minutes would have been more reasonable.
Reviews: [Guaranteed Departure] Fukuoka: Yufuin + Beppu Kamado Jigoku + Dazaifu Tenmangu One Day Tour [Japan Kyushu • Kannawa • English Guide]

This was my first time in Fukuoka, but Kyushu is so vast that I wanted to plan a proper one-day tour. The tour I joined this time included visits to Yufuin's Soga Jigoku (Hell on the Hell) and Dazaifu, saving me time on transportation. I could just sleep on the bus and use the restroom when I got off. The tour guides were very professional and even thoughtfully recommended famous local shops and shared lists of recommendations from other members of the group. You don't need to worry at all if you haven't done your research beforehand!

The itinerary was well-planned, and our tour guide, Li Jing, was a fun-loving woman from Northeast China. She was humorous, organized the group effectively, and even proactively helped families take photos. The small group of 20 people was also very punctual. Overall, it was a very cost-effective group tour.

Great. Yufuin was a great place to take photos. There were so many spots to photograph. Snoppy Village was adorable. My time in Beppu was too short at the end. The local hot springs were unique, with onsen tankan (boat-dwelling) and foot baths.
