The trip was amazing and the guide was excellent - very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The views were absolutely spectacular and made the whole experience truly memorable. Overall, the experience was great. That said, it’s worth noting that Rovaniemi is extremely expensive and many things feel heavily overpriced in general, which is of course something visitors should be aware of. The only specific downside was the lunch. I wouldn’t really call it a lunch, as it consisted of just one sausage, which felt a bit disappointing given the length of the trip. Despite this, I would still highly recommend the trip - just with more realistic expectations regarding pricing.

Breathtaking views and a fascinating history of the mines. The chance to try your hand at searching for your own amethyst using the methods the miners actually used is a truly enjoyable experience that makes the whole experience even more memorable.


