Reviews: Educational Whale Watching Tour from Perth

We had a fantastic morning whale watching with this incredible company. From the moment we arrived we were called forward and taken on board to the Captains Lounge (which is definitely worth paying extra for). You are in the front with the Captain and have a great view. Within minutes of setting off we saw a couple of dolphins and very quickly a mother whale was spotted with her calf. We just drifted and let the baby investigate us and it was incredible how close they came to the boat. The company is a family business who really care for the wildlife and want to share their knowledge with you. There is no chasing the whales, they wait for the whales to come to them - it was incredible. The daughter, Gemma gave us a commentary, which was so interesting especially when we saw another pod with a mother and her calf being pursued by several male whales. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you for amazing memories of our time in Australia.
Reviews: Skydiving Experience at Rottnest Island, Perth, Western Australia

A 15,000-foot Skydiving Review (with Practical Tips) This 15,000-foot skydiving experience at Rottnest Island was full of surprises and challenges. Although there were some minor setbacks along the way, the experience was ultimately worth it! Below are my honest experiences and some practical tips for those planning to try it. Two hours before my originally scheduled skydiving date, I received a notification from the local travel agent that we had to reschedule due to bad weather. Unfortunately, I had already booked a non-refundable ferry ticket and couldn't change my itinerary, so I had to proceed to Rottnest Island as planned. That day's itinerary was changed to a visit to the island's smiling kangaroos (Quokka) and a bus tour around the island to see wild sea lions. Tip: You may not have enough time to explore the island on your skydiving day, but don't worry about missing the Quokka; they often hang out on the grassy area near the marina and near the restaurant, making them easy to photograph! The weather finally cleared up on the rescheduled skydiving day, making it the perfect time for a skydive! The walk from the wharf to the airport took about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, I spent 10 minutes checking in, completing a mobile questionnaire, and purchasing a video package (highly recommended; capturing this moment is worth it!). Then, I went to the preparation room, watched an instructional video, and put on my safety gear. Upon arrival, my instructor double-checked my gear to ensure everything was in place, and then we boarded the plane. The plane reached an altitude of 15,000 feet about 15-20 minutes after takeoff. My instructor was very professional, checking my gear while capturing the stunning footage inside and outside the plane. The moment I jumped was completely mind-blowing! There was no centrifugal force or fear of heights, just the pure exhilaration of the head-on wind! My instructor even let me briefly control the parachute, which made the experience even more fun. Finally, we landed safely on a small beach and were transported back to the bus terminal at the wharf. The whole process was very smooth. Another important tip: plan your time carefully! Choosing a skydive too late could mean missing the ferry back to Perth city center or Fremantle. If you're planning a same-day trip, avoid the afternoon and allow plenty of time for your return. In summary, despite the weather delay, the thrill and fun of this skydive completely exceeded our expectations! From preparation to landing, every step was meticulously planned, and the instructor's professionalism and enthusiasm were reassuring. If you haven't tried skydiving yet, this experience from Rottnest Island is definitely worth it and guaranteed to be unforgettable!

The whole process took less than two hours. After putting on the gear, you had to wait about half an hour. After the instructor arrived, we took a pre-boarding video, then boarded the plane. The climb took about 10 minutes, and the scenery was beautiful. There were six of us on the trip, and this time, except for me, everyone else was white, hahaha. After the jump, the instructor will lead you in a flip. After the parachute opens, there are several sprints, just like a roller coaster, so exciting! My instructor was very professional. Before landing, he taught me to stand up at a certain point so that I wouldn't get sand on my body! By the way, nearsighted athletes don't have to worry; there are special nearsighted goggles that can be put directly over glasses. Also, be mentally prepared in advance. Even if you buy photos for $179, they won't all look good, hahaha. I got a total of 68 photos, and only 4 of them are look good, hahaha.
