The hotel was located in the old town, but it was great that we were picked up just a 2-3 minute walk away. It had been a while since my last Ha Long Bay cruise, but the tour was better than before. Lunch on the boat wasn't very time-consuming, so we couldn't really eat at a leisurely pace, but a lot of dishes were brought out. The afternoon menu said there would be sweets and fruit, but it was mostly fruit. Our guide, Ken, was perfect.★

We booked our cruise with Taliya to Ha Long Bay and had a very good overall experience.
The guide contacts you on WhatsApp the night before to confirm pickup details. We weren’t staying in the Hanoi Old Quarter, so we arranged pickup from a hotel there. Everything was clearly communicated and easy to manage.
The bus ride from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay and back was comfortable. Our guide, Alan, kept us informed throughout the trip, explaining the schedule and activities clearly.
On board, each family or couple was assigned a dedicated waiter, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The buffet had a good variety of seafood and other dishes. We travelled with our two children and they really enjoyed the experience.
The bamboo boat ride was scenic and relaxing, and kayaking was also available. Just remember to keep some small cash for tips (boat rower, waiter, and driver). Also note that drinks is not included.
Overall, a smooth, well-run cruise.★

Very cool experience! The staff was impeccable and extremely friendly. My partner was feeling ill and they were very accommodating, so we were very thankful. The sightseeing bit was a bit too long in our opinion because of the heat, so we would have liked to enjoy the water activities a bit longer.
